Oh Karen this is beautiful. I feel the love for your dad, and how you reflect upon this in your own words and actions is so very moving. My dad would never stand up and speak, it wasn't his thing, but I hear his gentle wisdom in my mind every day, and try and pass on the same. He also used to rescue bees, and now I do too...and then you found your bee. Love love love x
Oh I love all the synchronicity in your comment! The bee, our dads, their kindness. Our love. Thank you for taking time to read this 🥰 your dad sounds like a lovely person too ♥️ x
Oh gosh that's adorable! I managed to capture some photos last night of a bee on an evening soirée through the gardens. All covered in pollen. It was so sweet. We'd love to get some bees. Have you seen the bee rescuers on the likes of TikTok or Insta? There's one girl, it's fascinating to watch what she does. Finds whole hives in places they shouldn't be and rehomes them. I love it.
Thank you! I genuinely thought I’d replied to this comment and clearly hadn’t! I’m so sorry and I always appreciate your comments and your words. ♥️ I am so grateful for your support ♥️
I think you've shown us that writing can heal our wounds or show us a pathway to hope. Writing also has a way to comfort, like the message from the family friend. Words and writing are so so powerful! Thank you for sharing this. 🥰
Thank you! I agree, I have found it to be enormously healing lately. Especially this week with some more difficult feelings to navigate. Even if the writing isn’t about that itself, it helps me all the same. And, I hope, others. ♥️
Thanks so much for mentioning me in your piece, and for the shoutout, Karen. I hope things keep on getting brighter for you. Your mom deserves a toast but so do you. Here's to you, Karen!! 🥂💚
OMG, I wrote something related to the identity and I think you would like as I like this myself. Thank you for these words.
Oh I’ll check it out! Thank you for dropping by to let me know!

Exactly that, and yes he was, a truly special man. So kind and gentle 🫶❤️
I love that. He sounds so wonderful, rescuing bees. What a saint.
He would scoop them up and feed them a little mixture of sugar and water from the palm of his hand before placing them onto a flower...
